Mar das Illas is a cooperation project between the Fisheries Local Action Groups (FLAGs) Ría de Pontevedra, Ría de Arousa and Ría de Vigo – A Guarda. The objective of this project is to promote the activity of Marine Tourism and Pescatourism among the group of sailors and shellfishermen in the Rias Baixas of Galicia, especially in the area of the National Marine Terrestrial Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia (PNMTIAG).
The objective of this conference is multiple, as it aims to offer a vision of the state of these activities at a national and European level by providing examples of projects underway, and also to highlight the work carried out throughout the project, to provide visibility to the road travelled so that it serves as an example to other territories as well as to create a meeting point and debate for people involved in the development of Marine Tourism and Pescatourism.

Mar das Illas es un proyecto de cooperación entre los Grupos de Acción Local del Sector Pesquero GALPs Ría de Pontevedra, Ría de Arousa y Ría de Vigo – A Guarda. El objetivo del proyecto es promover la actividad del Turismo Marinero y la Pescaturismo entre el colectivo de marineras/os, mariscadores/as en las Rías Baixas de Galicia, especialmente en el ámbito del Parque Nacional Marítimo Terrestre de las Islas Atlánticas de Galicia ( PNMTIAG).
El objetivo de esta jornada es múltiple pues pretende ofrecer una visión del estado de estas actividades a nivel estatal y europeo aportando ejemplos de proyectos en marcha, y también poner de relieve el trabajo realizado al largo de todo el proyecto, aportar visibilidad al camino recorrido de modo que sirva de ejemplo a otros territorios así como crear un punto de encuentro y debate para las personas implicadas en el desarrollo del turismo marinero y pescaturismo.
